My new favorite find has a funny name (don't they all?) - Pearltrees! What exactly is it? Pearltrees is a place to organize, explore and share everything you like online. You can organize your web pages, files, photos and notes to find them everywhere (on your computer, smartphone or tablet) and share them easily.
I'm still playing around with it, but here is how I used it for my recent Digital Citizenship unit. I was able to organize all of the content I wanted to share with my students in one place - every YouTube video, infographic, word document...even their rubric for their assessment project. I then embedded my Pearltrees collection right to my website. Every time I found something new to share with my students, I added it to the collection. It automatically pushed through to my website, so I didn't have to constantly update it - talk about a time saver!

It is really easy to add to your collection. You just click on the "star" and select what you would like to add.
You can also drag and drop or even add to the collection from your smartphone or tablet. Creating a folder is easy too - just drag and drop one into the other. You can even personalize the folders with a title and background image for easy finding.
Imagine having the ability to organize all your materials by units or lessons - you will never have to worry about losing anything again! What makes Pearltrees stand out against other "cloud" tools is that you can add websites, files, photos, and even notes.
And you can share it so many ways!

I'm loving Pearltrees! What a time saver it has been for me while finding new material for my Digital Citizenship unit. I think you'll like it too!
Until next time...
